About the Role

St. David's Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Float Pool Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, evaluate, and revise care plans
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, education, and support
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team

Requirements

  • 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of employment start date
