Director of Supply Chain

Argus Technical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead our organization's overall supply chain operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the organization's sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of parts, as well as selecting vendors, negotiating prices, and managing deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to supply chain professionals to drive performance and achieve company objectives.
  • Manage company inventory and restocking levels, forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
  • Ensure critical processes run effectively and efficiently to achieve organizational goals and performance.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery with suppliers.
  • Maximize margins and cost savings.
  • Develop, evaluate, and manage relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Manage qualification of new sources.
  • Manage performance evaluation of vendors.
  • Manage inbound shipments with suppliers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with company goals.
Requirements:
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proficient in Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, ERP, or other pertinent software.
  • Bachelor's degree in purchasing and supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field and minimum 10 years related experience.
  • Previous experience in leading and building a team is required.
  • Proven experience in interaction with suppliers is a requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, relationship management, and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across different functions and departments.
  • Must have deep functional experience in supply/demand planning and direct spend category management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to lead teams and make data-driven decisions.

We are willing to pay a relocation fee of between $7K-$10K for the right candidate.
