At Essentia Health, we are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting in the evaluation and treatment of patients referred to our Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field, with relevant experience in cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation. They must also meet the Core Competencies defined by AACVPR for Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialists.

In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients. You will also be involved in ongoing program development and maintenance.

Educational Requirements:

  • East Market: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or health care related field
  • West Market and Brainerd Lakes: Completion of an exercise physiology program

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) or American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) within 1 year of hire
