Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, SC.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician will assist in the development of the Medical Laboratory Technology program proposal, curriculum, and lab needs. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and a passion for education.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the development of the Medical Laboratory Technology program proposal.
  2. Contribute to the creation of the MLT curriculum model.
  3. Support the justification of employment needs surveys.
  4. Help develop lab space and equipment needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (master's or doctoral degree preferred).
  • Hold ASCP?BOC or ASCPi -BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.
  • Teaching experience - bench or didactic (3 years preferred).
  • Knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures.
