Position Overview:
As a key member of our team at Price Family Dealerships, the Parts Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing expert assistance in selecting automotive parts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist all customers, both retail and workshop, in identifying and selecting necessary parts in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Inform customers about related part requirements and ongoing promotions, ensuring they are aware of the complete product range.
- Handle incoming phone inquiries, offering price estimates and relevant information.
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Retrieve and fulfill orders from inventory.
- Alert the parts manager regarding any out-of-stock items or materials requiring urgent attention.
- Source out-of-stock parts from external suppliers and place emergency orders when necessary.
- Follow up on parts that are on backorder.
- Ensure all internal part requests are accurately billed on service repair orders.
- Process returns of parts, ensuring the original invoice is available for verification of purchase and pricing.
- Maintain organized records of all repair orders, invoices, and special orders.
- Keep the front and rear counter areas tidy and free from clutter.
- Engage in all available training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on new products and product enhancements.
- Collaborate with the parts manager to maintain a program for tracking lost sales.
- Exhibit a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
The characteristics of the work environment are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this role in an automotive service setting.
Salary/Pay:
$16.00 per hour / up to $72,000 per year
