Job Summary

Gulfside Healthcare is seeking a skilled RN Hospice Field Specialist to provide quality care to patients in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case manage the needs of patients and families in the field
  • Perform ongoing assessment of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of patients/families
  • Provide supervision of LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned staff
  • Identify and address problems independently
  • Support policies and procedures
  • Assist in the orientation of new staff members
  • Mentor and guide coworkers and additional staff
  • Maintain positive working relationships with team members
  • Address patient/family complaints and concerns
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with facility partners
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues
  • Communicate regularly with the Clinical Care Manager
  • Ensure professional standards of nursing practice are maintained
Requirements
  • Currently licensed in the State of Florida as a registered nurse
  • Minimum of one year's nursing experience in a hospital, home health, or hospice setting
  • Strong ethical standards and professional demeanor
  • Sound critical thinking, time management, technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Florida driver's license
