POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a vital member of our team, you will assist clients with their consumer lending requirements in a precise, efficient, and professional manner. Your responsibilities will include evaluating lending requests and making informed credit decisions based on established lending policies.

Enhance member relationships by identifying opportunities for additional Credit Union products and services through effective cross-selling strategies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct interviews with members to gather information regarding their lending needs, income, and financial status.
  • Assess the financial standing of members to evaluate the risk associated with extending credit.
  • Provide detailed explanations of various lending programs available, and recommend the most suitable options based on the member's needs.
  • Make informed decisions to approve or deny loan applications, or consult with a supervisor for further guidance.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes in the internal system regarding each member's situation.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours as required by business needs.
  • Achieve or surpass cross-selling targets for Credit Life and Disability Insurance, Visa accounts, and additional auto coverage.
  • Engage in sales development initiatives.
  • Stay informed and compliant with all Credit Union policies, as well as state and federal lending regulations.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of two years of sales experience in a financial services environment with demonstrated success.
  • At least two years of experience in lending.
  • Proficiency in operating loan processing systems and all necessary equipment and software for job functions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Thorough understanding of consumer lending policies, procedures, products, and services.
  • Ability to effectively use loan processing systems and related technology.
  • Competence in analyzing financial reports and utilizing decision-making tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects within specified timeframes.
