Job Overview

The Easterseals Blake Foundation, a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, is seeking a dedicated Quality First Coach. This role is essential in fostering improved quality of care and education within early childhood programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct orientation sessions for newly enrolled participants.
  • Facilitate the completion of enrollment agreements with participants.
  • Provide on-site coaching and training in childcare centers, group homes, and family childcare settings.
  • Engage in full-day and multi-day training sessions at various locations.
  • Offer guidance on effective classroom management strategies.
  • Address health, safety, and environmental concerns.
  • Demonstrate appropriate interaction techniques with children.
  • Encourage parent and family involvement through collaborative activities.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on administrative policies.
  • Identify local resources and training opportunities.
  • Inform about enrollment in the T.E.A.C.H scholarship program.
  • Connect childcare providers with health consultants and support programs.
  • Utilize the First Things First Quality First Implementation Guide for program administration.
  • Adhere to specific timelines for orientation, enrollment, and development of Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Maintain required site visit hours and document all interactions within two weeks.
  • Update provider databases quarterly and submit demographic information as required.
  • Keep organized site files for each provider.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding any inquiries or clarifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field with at least 24 college credits in ECE.

Experience: Minimum of five years working in a licensed early childhood program with children aged birth to 8 years. Experience in early childhood education settings is preferred, along with knowledge of Indigenous cultures. Bilingual skills in Spanish/English are also preferred.

Regulatory Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and be willing to use a personal vehicle for work purposes.
  • Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report and provide proof of vehicle registration and insurance.
  • Hold a valid AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (provided by employer).
  • Initial negative TB test result (provided by employer).
