Position SummaryWe are seeking a TechOps Engineer who will play a pivotal role in our Splunk Cloud Azure TechOps team. This position is essential for making critical technical decisions that enhance our operational infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of top-tier SaaS solutions.

- Achieve Splunk Cloud Certified Architect status within the first year of employment.
- Experience or interest in regulated computing environments, particularly FISMA and/or FedRAMP.
- Proficiency in Azure environments.
- Experience working in fully remote teams.
- Passion for building and managing distributed systems at scale, with an understanding of the associated challenges.
- Strong inclination towards process automation.
- Knowledge of security, performance, and disaster recovery best practices.
- Adept at identifying performance bottlenecks and diagnosing system anomalies.
- Experience in monitoring cloud environments using tools such as Splunk, VictorOps, and Nagios.
- Commitment to thorough documentation to support distributed team functionality.
- Ability to address complex problems and collaborate with vendors for effective solutions.
- Comfortable managing critical customer-facing issues and prioritizing effectively during escalations.
- Deep understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
- Possession of AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals or AZ-104 Azure Administrator Certification.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams to influence software design and deployment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Experience in monitoring cloud environments with Splunk.
- Familiarity with programming languages, particularly Golang or Python, and automation of Linux system tasks.
- Experience in large-scale distributed cloud service development and infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of distributed architectures and scalable software solutions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Gitlab, Puppet, Jenkins, and YAML.
- Ability to support FedRAMP Moderate environments.
