Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Join Tesla's Construction Procurement team as a Supply Chain Manager and take on a challenging role that requires extensive practical understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment sourcing and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a robust stakeholder buy-in and collaborate with the Engineering team to implement Procurement strategy for MEP Long Lead Equipment.
  • Conduct a thorough pre-qualification process and synthesize supplier, industry, and market research for long lead equipment.
  • Implement Worldwide/Regional/Country agreements, as necessary, to consolidate suppliers/spend, and provide analysis of existing requirements and pricing to ensure the most cost-effective options.
  • Analyze historical spend as well as forecast spend and savings by commodity/business to develop a solid understanding of cost drivers and contracts by commodity.
  • Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships; act as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues, including identifying and negotiating commercial cost reduction opportunities.
  • Issue RFx (RFQ, RFB, and RFP) for sourcing and review, analyze and clarify quote packages from suppliers and service providers, and make and present recommendations to award.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in purchasing, preferably in the Infrastructure, Construction or Facilities industry.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, with demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders as well as organizational skills to manage and track transactional details.
