Mission Statement

Required Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an Early Childhood Endorsement and Special Education Approval.
Compensation Package
  • Salary is established in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, which includes differentiated compensation for roles identified as challenging to fill. The comprehensive salary schedule and details regarding hard-to-fill positions are accessible on our website. Experienced educators may receive credit for up to 21 years of service outside the District. New educators can request a salary advance of up to $2,000 to assist with relocation or other expenses. The Board of Education currently covers 100% of a teacher's contributions to the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) and provides full coverage for employee-only health, dental, and term life insurance, with minimal costs for vision insurance. Numerous opportunities exist for educators to earn additional compensation through stipends, differentials, and extra duty pay during the academic year and summer.
  • An annual stipend of $1,500 is available for educators holding national board certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
  • New hires in a full-time position within the bargaining unit may qualify for a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus.
