Job Title: Principal Low Observable Materials Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Low Observable Materials Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our mechanical design team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating advanced materials and technologies to support our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and characterize advanced materials and coatings for low observable applications
  • Design and integrate materials and systems to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies
  • Conduct material measurements and performance predictions using computational electromagnetic codes
  • Lead integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Eight (8) years of Low Observables or Radar materials engineering experience
  • Material characterization, performance testing, and/or design experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • High temperature LO materials characterization, testing, and integration experience
  • Experience with intrinsic property analytical techniques for electromagnetic characterization of materials
  • Agile communicator with effective interaction style
  • CAD software proficiency and technical programming experience
