Key Responsibilities:
- Drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Design and develop mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers, taking into account energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline design teams, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Select and schedule major equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Professional Mechanical Engineering design, with a focus on mechanical systems for data centers or other mission-critical projects.
- Valid Mechanical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Engineering in Training certification considered).
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and provide mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team.
- Top-notch organization, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
