Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric emergency nursing.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a pediatric emergency department.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
  • Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) certification preferred.
