Job Title: Senior Airport Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Airport Electrical Engineer to join our team in Portland, ME. As a senior contributor, you will play a key role in the development of proposals and marketing materials, utilizing your expertise in electrical systems, FAA and Military airfield lighting design criteria, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to obtain project objectives, requirements, and approvals.
  • Examine field conditions to support project design development and completion.
  • Responsible for quality control/quality assurance review of electrical engineering/airfield lighting engineering documents.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and technical resource, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Perform electrical engineering design tasks, including preparation and coordination of project deliverables and documents.
  • Review own work and team members' work for accuracy, ensuring quality assurance and quality control for final products.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, statement of qualifications, and marketing endeavors.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory and FAA design criteria changes, participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 20 years of experience in airport engineering consulting, with expertise in airfield lighting and navigational aids.
  • Advanced knowledge of airfield lighting design, NAVAIDS, and airfield electrical infrastructure design.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in project teams.
