Job Title: Inspector 3

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Inspector to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary:

The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting visually and completed products, including electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect products.
  • Utilize various measuring devices, such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other tools as defined by the work instruction.
  • Review contracts and shipping paperwork for accuracy.
  • Interface with production hardware using SAP (Standards, Applications, and Process).
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and part lists.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Computer literate.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekend support as required.
  • US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • J-STD Training (including color acuity).
  • IPCA 610/620 Training.
  • Torque Training.
  • Ability to work in an ESD environment.
  • Ability to spend shift in area personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to review and understand Contracts.
  • Prior knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience in determining conforming versus non-conforming.

Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
