Job Title: Content Intern

Destination Cleveland is seeking a highly motivated and creative Content Intern to join our team. As a Content Intern, you will assist our content and publishing team with support of ongoing digital content campaigns, including website, social media, and support for Destination Cleveland's larger marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with content-related tasks across platforms, with a focus on copywriting, editing, user-generated content curation, and work in our content management system.
  • Collaborate with the digital team across multiple disciplines, including web content, social media, visual asset production, publishing, and platform development.
  • Support event calendar listings, blog editing, blog writing, and other activities as directed by the Sr. Director of Content, Content Managers, and other marketing staff.
  • Develop social media content on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with production during major film shoots, podcast recording sessions, and other events.
  • Participate in the Social Media Command Center (SMCC) for major events.
  • Attend marketing division and digital marketing team meetings to gain insight into the team's role in the organization and travel/tourism industry.
  • Contribute to the ideation and creation of new content relevant to active and upcoming campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A content portfolio of at least three writing samples.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
  • Team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or content creation platforms like Canva is helpful but not necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required.
  • Currently pursuing education, training, and/or certificate in information technology or equivalent field.
Work Environment:

On-site position in an office environment with moderate noise.
