Citizens is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our M&A Consumer & Retail team in our LA office. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with junior and senior professionals to prepare, analyze, and execute banking-related transactions within the U.S. middle market.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Modeling and Valuations: Manage and assist in the preparation of financial models and business valuations to support transaction execution.
- Business Development and Origination: Support junior and senior team members in developing new business ideas, pitch strategies, and transaction structuring scenarios to help clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives.
- Client Engagement and Due Diligence: Lead and participate in meetings with current and prospective clients, conduct industry and company due diligence, and prepare and review information memoranda and other transaction documents.
- Pitch and Presentation Development: Prepare and review pitch and business origination materials, and develop and review pitches and other presentations to deliver to clients.
- Business Development and Team Support: Assist in business development efforts and support junior and senior team members in their responsibilities.
- Experience: 3+ years of work experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or a similar role.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the Consumer & Retail sector is preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Intelligent and resourceful, professional and concise oral and written communication, strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, self-starter with intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, team player, and high degree of humility, maturity, and integrity.
- Work Environment: Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
