Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Ad-vance Talent Solutions. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on development review plans, ensuring compliance with local ordinances and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and comment on development review plans to ensure consistency with local regulations.
- Assist in public meetings, contractor meetings, and other project-related events.
- Provide guidance to the general public, property owners, and their representatives on Department policies and local ordinances.
- Conduct field visits for review, investigation, or resolution of complaints.
- Assist in the creation of corrective measures and provide information related to project progress.
- Conduct field visits for review and inspection of projects and improvement plans submitted to the County for approval.
- Supervise the construction administration of County projects, including pre-construction meetings, shop drawing reviews, inspections, and processing of pay requests.
- Assist other departments in resolving permit review processes and LDC violations.
- Perform or assist with preliminary or final engineering design, hydraulic modeling, or traffic modeling on projects as the Engineer of Record or under supervision.
- Prepare and present technical studies for presentations, project scoping, design, permitting, maintenance, and operation.
- Assist in the review, filling out, and preparation of grant documents.
- Conduct field reviews of completed projects to ensure adherence to established standards, plans, specifications, and related requirements.
- Prepare and present information in a meaningful and effective manner to citizens, coworkers, agencies, and other officials.
- Provide excellent customer service to members of the general public and other County employees.
Requirements:
- Engineer I: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering or Business Administration; 1 year of engineering intern experience, no experience required.
- Engineer II: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering or Business Administration; FL PE or equivalent license with ability to obtain Florida PE within 6 months; 4 years of related experience.
- Engineer III: Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering or Business Administration; FL PE or equivalent license with ability to obtain Florida PE within 6 months; 4 years of experience or two years of relevant experience with PE and Master's degree in field.
Certifications:
- FEMA NIMS IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 certifications within three months of assignment.
- Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation control Inspector certificate within twelve months of assignment.
