Job Title: Custodian/Pool Technician

Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian/Pool Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our school facilities, including pools and other areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain school buildings and grounds, including pools and other areas.
  • Set up equipment for special events and programs.
  • Assist with general cleanup and emergency cleaning as needed.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems, boilers, and electrical, mechanical, and sound equipment.
  • Change air filters as needed.
  • Maintain and repair custodial equipment, including equipment for grounds upkeep.
  • Maintain and repair school fixtures and furniture.
  • Care for school grounds, including watering, fertilizing, mowing, and trimming lawns, picking up trash, and removing ice and snow when necessary.
  • Work with the public on community functions held at the school, setting up equipment, assisting with crowd control, cleanup, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the building, including locking and unlocking the building, performing weekend and holiday building checks, and maintaining fire and burglar alarms.
  • Check emergency lights and fire extinguishers.
  • Assist school personnel with work requests and errands.
  • May assist with building scheduling, inventory, or other paperwork.
  • Opens classrooms for substitute teachers, students, community schools, etc.
  • May be requested to call the district to request repairs and to assist district maintenance workers with repairs.
  • May be required to assist in maintaining inventory of school supplies.
Requirements:
  • Certified Pool Operator certificate - must take class and pass testing. Forefront will pay for this training. You must pass the class to secure this position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) months of experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Ability to use or repair small and medium equipment and machinery.
