A Day in the Life as a Physical Therapy Aide

This role offers hands-on experience working alongside leading experts in physical and occupational therapy, supporting patient care, and gaining valuable healthcare knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

This position involves providing direct patient care and support, including setting up exercise equipment, instructing, and monitoring exercises, delivering home exercise programs, and assisting with therapeutic modalities.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining clinic tidiness, following cleaning protocols, ordering supplies, and ensuring equipment functionality.

A sense of urgency is key, ensuring patient concerns are escalated promptly to clinicians and the Clinic Director.

Cultivating Exceptional Customer Experience

Greet patients warmly during daily check-ins and appointments, promoting efficient intake processes and assisting clinicians with timely scheduling.

You'll onboard new patients by reviewing paperwork, verifying benefits, completing medical forms, and introducing patient outcomes tools.

Key Performance Metrics

This role contributes to converting referrals into evaluations, assisting with patient rescheduling, and providing primary support during daily patient check-ins.

You'll help collect Patient Reported Outcome assessments and contribute to the clinic's overall success.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma and/or relevant healthcare experience (Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment)
  • Customer Service experience (service industry or administrative role)
  • Certified Personal Trainer experience
  • An Associates Degree in Health Sciences or a related field
