Job Summary

The State of South Dakota is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Park Maintenance Technician Intern. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in grounds and facility operations and maintenance of a State Park or Recreation Area.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the maintenance of grounds and facilities within the park boundaries
Develop skills in herbicide applications, basic maintenance, and operation of ATVs, UTVs, tractors, mowers, hand, and power tools
Assist in the development of pollinator and wildlife food plots

Requirements
Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute
Completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Ability to attain a Commercial Applicators License within 2 weeks of employment
