Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting blood donations from volunteer donors at our fixed site locations. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with donors and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient blood collection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood donations from volunteer donors in a safe and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for donors
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the integrity of the blood collection process
Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year customer service experience in a public setting
  • Current, valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and ability to sit or stand for long periods
