Patient Care Technician

Position Summary:
The Patient Care Technician is responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care services as directed by a Registered Nurse or Clinical Team Leader. The specific responsibilities may differ based on the designated area of service.
Experience Requirements:
- Required: 1-3 years of experience in roles such as nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, or other relevant healthcare positions.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience specifically as a Patient Care Technician.
Educational Qualifications:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, along with completion of a Patient Care or Multi-skilled Technician certification program.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Required: Certification as an American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred: Certifications in Nurse Aide, EKG, and/or Phlebotomy.
Essential Skills:
- Completion of an Arrhythmia recognition program within three months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient computer skills for hospital information systems.
- Ability to read and write in English.
Patient Demographics:
- Focus on Adult populations, including Early Adult, Middle Adult, Late Adult, and those over 80 years of age.
Work Schedule:
64 hours per pay period, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Qualifications:
Skills, behaviors, motivations, education, experience, and licenses & certifications are all essential components for this role.
