The Role

In this position, you will develop and facilitate training programs for our aftermarket teams with a heavy emphasis on technician development. As a Technical Training Coordinator at AKRS, you will:

  • Build content and deliver training for our Tech Apprentice program.
  • Oversee John Deere University requirements and opportunities, and work with parts and service managers to schedule employees for training.
  • Become certified and instruct John Deere curated courses.
  • Identify training needs of parts and service departments through analysis and consultation with managers.
  • Develop and deliver training content that expands employees' knowledge and skills to meet identified business needs.
  • Assess individual employees' skills, performance, and productivity to identify areas of improvement; work with managers to create action plans to address gaps.
  • Present information as needed and as time allows at technician recruitment events.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience with technician training and development within the ag equipment sector.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively coaching and developing others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience developing training content preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and to travel when needed.
  • The minimum of an Associate degree in a related field required.
