Role Overview
  • Engage in a range of complex electrical engineering projects aimed at fulfilling operational requirements and supporting the design, implementation, and upkeep of facility systems.
  • Participate in various assignments, from straightforward single-discipline tasks to comprehensive multi-discipline initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build a solid understanding of essential engineering concepts.
  • Independently formulate design ideas, technical solutions, and maintenance strategies for assigned systems and components.
  • Design low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical distribution networks, incorporating Arc Flash and ETAP methodologies.
  • Produce design schematics, technical specifications, power system evaluations, and work statements.
  • Implement economical repairs, modifications, and enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable electrical regulations and safety protocols.
  • Design physical configurations, protective measures, and distribution frameworks.
  • Conduct site inspections, lead teams, and provide support to colleagues and maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners to fulfill project specifications.
  • Provide technical insights for project estimates, risk evaluations, and planning initiatives.
  • Deliver technical presentations and comply with engineering documentation standards.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) Certification (Texas) is mandatory.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software applications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess an active Professional Engineer license.
Additional Requirements
  • Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and retain necessary credentials for worksite access.
  • Physically capable of meeting job demands.
Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based role with occasional equipment handling.
  • Fieldwork includes site visits and troubleshooting activities.
  • Training and protective equipment provided for on-site tasks.
