Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical services that align with established community standards for healthcare professionals in the military sector.
- Deliver comprehensive emergency care, demonstrating the ability to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Execute medical procedures including, but not limited to:
- Incision and drainage; Nail Trephination; Sling application; Bandaging; Reduction of dislocations and fractures; Stabilization of cervical spine injuries; Lumbar puncture; Pericardiocentesis; Removal of foreign bodies; Emergency deliveries; Venous punctures for lab tests; Arterial blood gas draws; Suture and staple management; Tube thoracostomy; Airway management techniques; and more.
- Collaborate effectively with other medical facilities and emergency departments, ensuring timely and appropriate patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans in a timely manner.
- Respond to critical medical emergencies, providing immediate evaluation and management of patients in distress.
- Ensure comprehensive follow-up care for patients, reviewing abnormal lab and imaging results as per established protocols.
- Manage medical emergencies within the facility, providing resuscitation and notifying appropriate parties in critical situations.
- Address non-acute conditions based on established medical triage priorities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, examinations, and treatment plans in accordance with military directives.
- Provide medical oversight for ambulance services as needed, ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
