Primary Care Physician

Ocracoke Health Center Inc is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and referring patients to specialists when necessary.
Responsibilities- Provide direct primary care medical services to patients
- Provide outpatient primary care medical services within scope of practice as determined by delineation of privileges
- Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient's medical history
- Prescribe and interpret lab tests
- Assigned to one primary site for delivery of care, with cross coverage at other sites when necessary
- Participate in active problem identification and problem solving to improve the overall clinical program and patient care at the physician's primary site
- Serve as team leader for staff at primary site for purposes of problem solving and self-management
- Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team
- Graduation from an accredited MD Program
- Proven experience as a provider in Family Practice
- Licensed by NC Board of Medicine to practice medicine
- Board Certification in a primary care specialty preferred
