Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Handle instruments with care, replacing any instrument in need of repair.
  • Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the successful completion of procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Graduated from an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • Certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
  • One (1) year of previous experience preferred.
  • Good manual dexterity required.
