Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead onsite teams and supervise construction projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate project schedules and sequences with internal and external teams
  • Forecast resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely completion
  • Plan and schedule on-site construction operations to meet deadlines
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports as required
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues
  • Coordinate subcontractors and perform quality control and safety checks
  • Adjust to changes in on-site operations to meet construction deadlines
  • Maintain a daily log of job site operations and report to management as necessary
  • Provide value engineering options to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain good relations with city officials, owners, personnel, and subcontracted trades and suppliers
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of on-site supervision experience in multifamily residential new building construction
  • BS Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of current building codes and ADA laws
  • Experience with site construction, precast, wood framing, MEP trades, and interior finishes
  • Demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods
  • Experience in alternative building methods and value engineering
  • Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Bluebeam
  • Procore construction management software
  • Ability to work independently leading a small team
  • Review construction documentation, owner building standards, and finish schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP trade drawings
  • Well-organized and able to forecast upcoming scopes of work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to changing project needs
  • Entrepreneurial ownership mindset, with a focus on business, clients, and teamwork
  • High integrity, trusted, direct, and truthful
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities within established deadlines
  • Ability to perform physical functions of the position, including walking property and completing physical inspections

Location:

The Construction Superintendent will primarily work on-site at project locations. The Construction Superintendent will be exposed to current weather and site conditions on each assigned project site.
