The Phoenix Residence values its workforce. Full-time support professionals are rewarded with a bonus of at least $1,500 this year, reflecting our commitment to enhancing the financial well-being of our direct support staff.
We currently have an opening for a Support Professional Reserve role. This position entails being on "reserve" at one of our facilities and stepping in to cover shifts as necessary. There is no fixed schedule associated with this role. In this capacity, you will act as an advocate for the individuals supported by The Phoenix Residence, Inc. Your responsibilities will include performing, supervising, and assisting with person-centered outcomes, as well as facilitating daily living activities through teaching, training, and the development and execution of active treatment and individualized plans.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred: One year of experience in working with individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities or in a related human services field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to coordinate activities and services effectively.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to adequately interact with individuals and meet their service needs.
- Must become a Trained Medication Passer within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
- Must be trained in CPR and First Aid within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
- Ability to see and hear adequately to assess and respond to individuals' needs.
- Capability to respond to emergencies in accordance with established policies and procedures of The Phoenix Residence.
- Competence in using a computer for necessary documentation, communication, and time logging.
