Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and immunizations according to provider orders.
  • Support healthcare providers and registered nurses during procedures and manage related specimen processing.
  • Assist with medication refills, patient documentation, and prior authorizations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to oversee nurse communication boxes in the electronic health record system.
  • Work closely with team members to maintain a patient-centered care approach.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a current LPN license and BLS certification, along with at least one year of experience in a medical practice environment, preferably in settings dealing with infectious diseases. Proficiency in phlebotomy is required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with familiarity with computer systems, MS Office applications, and electronic medical records.

Demonstrated integrity, personal responsibility, and the ability to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations are critical. Experience and sensitivity towards cultural diversity, harm reduction strategies, and populations affected by HIV/AIDS are highly valued.
