Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our nursing team with expertise and dedication.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.
  • Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts.
  • Meet with staff and exercise independent judgment to plan shifts, services, and patient care.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
  • Facilitate availability of adequate materials, resources, and supplies.
  • Set priorities appropriate to daily patient/physician dynamics.
  • Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
  • 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience.
