Responsibilities:- Provide emergency care to patients in need, including stabilization, resuscitation, and transportation to medical facilities.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in emergency care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve clinical skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to emergency care.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse.
- BLS (or higher) certification required.
- Professional specialty certification (preferred) NRP, ITLS, PHTLS, BTLS, TNCC or TPATC.
- Minimum of two years current Emergency Department nursing experience as a registered nurse (RN). Additional pre-hospital experience in a Paramedic or EMT role preferred.
- Physically fit to allow for functional movement in confined spaces encountered on DUH campus when responding to emergency calls.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse, autonomous environment.
