About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Volunteers of America-Minnesota. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a positive impact on the lives of youth struggling with mental health issues.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to adolescents, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions. They will work closely with clients, families, and the treatment team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing them to effectively collaborate with colleagues and provide leadership support to direct care staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to adolescents.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the treatment team.
  • Lead treatment plan review meetings and provide clinical direction to the treatment team.
  • Attend and participate in weekly clinical and psychiatric consultation meetings and all required trainings.
  • C Coordinate consultation and services with psychiatrist, case managers, families, and other Bar None staff as needed to maximize client success.
Requirements:
  • Masters or better in Counseling Psychology.
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional or currently seeking clinical licensure (LMFT, LICSW, LPCC, etc.).
  • Experience with DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
  • Effective communication, both orally and in writing.
  • Able to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients and co-workers.
  • Able to pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits:

$60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and licensure status.
