Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Transportation Supervisor, the Transport Specialist is tasked with operating and maintaining CareAlliance vehicles. This role involves providing transportation for patients to and from CareAlliance facilities and other designated appointments, as well as operating the mobile unit.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely navigate passenger vehicles and mobile clinic units in diverse weather conditions.
  • Ensure timely transportation of patients and/or clinical products.
  • Adhere to daily schedules, making adjustments as necessary, and submit daily trip logs.
  • Conduct thorough daily vehicle inspections (including checks on fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes, and both interior and exterior conditions).
  • Promptly report any operational issues regarding the vehicle to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Independently complete assignments and trips with minimal supervision.
  • Comply with all traffic regulations and procedures.
  • Assist passengers in safely boarding and disembarking from the vehicle.
  • Engage with a diverse range of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 6 months of relevant driving experience or training.
  • Possession of a valid Class A or B CDL Driver's License with fewer than 5 points.
  • Experience in patient transportation; wheelchair lift experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated good driving skills.
  • Capability to operate and maneuver large vehicles.
  • Ability to perform a comprehensive range of transportation tasks.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in using email and electronic timekeeping systems.
