The Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing a diverse range of standard and advanced imaging techniques. The facility offers a comprehensive array of services, including but not limited to, acute care, cardiology, emergency services, general surgery, and specialized care units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets the standards of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Conducts a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including complex examinations, utilizing advanced computerized imaging technology.
- Demonstrates proficiency in initiating and maintaining intravenous (IV) access and operating high-speed, pressurized injection devices.
- Assesses patients for clinical contrast history and identifies potential contraindications.
- Follows established protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Engages effectively with patients and healthcare providers, coordinating and prioritizing imaging procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Willingness to rotate among various departments and clinics to ensure adequate coverage.
- Assists Radiologists during invasive and biopsy procedures using CT technology to accurately locate anatomical structures.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
- Accurately codes and enters all charges related to imaging services.
- Adapts patient assessment and care methods to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and refrains from disclosing sensitive information unless necessary for job performance.

- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a clinical setting is required; 3 years preferred. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and hold current state licensure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
