Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate clear communication with physicians, administrative personnel, nursing staff, and fellow team members.
  • Support the integration of core principles into our imaging practices.
  • Ensure that patient care is delivered in a personalized, professional, and high-quality manner.
  • Verify compliance with standards set by accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to the Quality Assurance and Improvement initiatives within Imaging Services.
  • Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment and promptly report any issues.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols, applying the ALARA principle.
  • Provide thorough explanations of imaging procedures to patients and their families.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging examinations, including routine and specialized procedures.
  • Ensure optimal radiographic parameters are utilized to produce high-quality images for physicians.
  • Accurately document imaging results with appropriate identification markers.
  • Efficiently manage patient information within the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS).
  • Offer basic nursing support to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Safely transport patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring their well-being.
  • Maintain accurate departmental documentation and paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with billing and patient care regulations.
  • Accurately enter patient charges into the system.
  • Release patient information in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  • Answer phone inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Schedule imaging appointments following departmental protocols.
  • Keep imaging rooms and workspaces organized and clean.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R).
  • Licensed by the appropriate medical board as a General Medical Radiologic Technologist (GMRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from a recognized provider.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a Radiologic Technologist role.
