Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Custodian to join our team at The Chimes Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of custodians to ensure the efficient completion of cleaning tasks and maintenance of facilities.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform manual labor associated with maintaining proper hygiene, cleaning, and custodial standards in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Transport team members, supplies, and equipment to assigned buildings while complying with DOT and Military installation driving laws and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Act as a teacher, coach, and mentor to newly hired custodians for training purposes.
Essential Functions
  • Compliance and Quality: Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect restrooms, facilities, and equipment as described on Government contractual documents.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment, including descaling showers, toilet bowls, and urinals.
  • Supply Management: Report to supervisor supply needs and equipment issues.
Physical Abilities and Job Competencies
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, go up and down stairs, reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop, lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Job Competencies: Ability to lead and direct others, determine accuracy and quality, work with limited direct supervision, follow directions and focus on tasks, report problems or relate information, work in a constant state of alertness and with safety always in mind.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Six months of custodial experience preferred, custodial training desired, van driving experience preferred.
