Job Summary:The Engineering Project Manager will oversee the design, purchasing, and production phases of machine orders, ensuring efficient delivery to customers in the service preparation industry. This role will lead a small team of engineers and draftsmen, fostering a culture of mentorship and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Engineering Projects: Oversee all aspects of engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Lead & Mentor Team: Supervise and mentor 3-5 engineers and draftsmen, ensuring professional growth and project success.
- Develop Design Concepts: Create detailed, manufacturable designs using SolidWorks, suitable for both in-house and outsourced fabrication.
- Project Coordination: Manage the full project lifecycle, from design to production, including ordering, inventory management, and material sourcing.
- Customer Communication: Act as the main point of contact with customers, setting expectations and providing regular updates.
- Ensure Compliance & Quality: Ensure all designs meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Trade Shows & Travel: Minimal travel, with occasional opportunities to attend trade shows.
- Competitors: Be aware of industry competitors, such as ARS and Industrial Vacuum, and help the company scale operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of engineering experience, with a strong background in manufacturing and project management, from concept through delivery.
- Experience managing a team and mentoring engineers.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and Fishbowl.
- Experience in the industrial equipment sector, with knowledge of blasting and reclaiming equipment.
- Knowledge of managing the full engineering lifecycle, from design to inventory and production and delivery.
