Job Summary

At J & J Worldwide Services, we are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical trade functions, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment, using a variety of electrician's hand tools and test & measurement instruments.
  • Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces, and assist others as part of the maintenance team as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
  • Knowledge of computer software programs, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Rounded training and experience, usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship, licensed Journeyman or Master's degree.
  • Experience with a Facility Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS) is highly desired.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, and perform constant arm extensions.
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.

We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
