About the Role

The Radiopharmaceutical Imaging Specialist, under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation via radiopharmaceuticals for radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the clinical activities, including call, within Nuclear Medicine and PET.
  • Apply prescribed ionizing radiation via radiopharmaceuticals for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Provide radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree: Nuclear Medicine.
  • National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology or National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Experience with established procedures and protocols.
