About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Mobile Commerce team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering new features for our iOS application.

As a Mobile Application Developer, you will work closely with our design and product teams to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for developing and delivering new product features, contributing to high-level design and technical discussions, and participating in design and code reviews.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing new features to improving engineering processes. You will also have the chance to collaborate with other teams, including design, product, and engineering, to deliver value to our creators and viewers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver new product features for our iOS application
  • Contribute to high-level design and technical discussions for mobile projects
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Improve engineering processes to increase team effectiveness
  • Work across both technical and business-focused teams to deliver value to our creators and viewers

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • 1+ years of work experience as a software engineer
  • Development experience in either Swift or Objective-C
  • Experience working with iOS specific development tools, such as XCode, RxSwift, CocoaPods, Firebase, or Swift Package Manager
  • Experience on a mobile engineering team partnering with other engineering teams, and communicating complicated technical problems to both technical and business audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a relevant field
  • Experience with monetization-focused features
  • Familiarity or experience working with GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem

Amazon is a total compensation company. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
