Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Seal Coat Laborer to join our team at Rose Paving LLC. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for coordinating daily labor activities and performing physical labor at parking lots using various maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Take high-quality photos of job sites for documentation purposes.
  • Ensure proper signage is displayed at each job site and collect signs after completion.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-job checklists to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Accurately record job data, including material, equipment, and labor costs, for job costing purposes.
  • Monitor weather conditions to plan work schedules accordingly.
  • Implement effective traffic control measures at job sites, including signs, barricades, and caution tape.
  • Prevent overweight truck loading to avoid fines.
  • Install materials according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Work efficiently within Rose Paving LLC standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve working conditions and equipment usage to increase crew efficiency.
  • Solve problems and assist workers in resolving work-related challenges.
  • Estimate crew hours required for task completion.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to optimize fieldwork activities.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by introducing yourself upon arrival at the job site.
  • Operate within budgetary constraints.
  • Request necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain a service and maintenance program for all equipment.
  • Participate in employee evaluation programs.
  • Adhere to company policies, including drug and substance abuse and sexual harassment policies.
  • Encourage and facilitate cross-training opportunities.
  • Investigate continuing education opportunities for personal and crew development.
  • Enforce personal and field safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong understanding of Rose Paving's business and proven abilities in seal coating and other services, including asphalt repairs, cracksealing, catch basin repair, and parking lot marking.
  • Ability to apply basic geometric concepts.
