The Automotive Parts Specialist possesses extensive knowledge of automotive components and accessories, enabling them to provide accurate information to customers both in person and over the phone.
This role involves identifying automotive parts from the existing inventory or sourcing them from various channels (including online platforms, suppliers, and other dealerships) and coordinating their delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitates sales by inputting purchased items into the sales and inventory management system.
Processes customer orders, clarifies requests, identifies necessary automotive parts, and presents alternative options.
Manages parts inventory by confirming stock levels.
Organizes items by unpacking, arranging, and placing them in designated storage areas while updating the inventory system accordingly.
Handles returned items by verifying that parts are unused, issuing credits, and restocking items.
Ensures a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Enhances job knowledge by engaging in training opportunities and staying informed about new products.
Contributes to organizational objectives by taking ownership of new tasks and seeking ways to enhance job performance.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a GM parts counterman (dealership experience preferred).
Strong telephone and customer service skills.
Experience in inventory management.
Professional demeanor and work ethic.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Able to cultivate relationships with suppliers and customers.
Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
