Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Express Lube Technician to join our team at Starling Buick GMC of Stuart. As an Express Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Express Lube Duties: Adhere to express lube guidelines, perform lube, oil, and filter changes, and lubricate all joints.
  • Communicate Effectively: Report all necessary repairs to service advisors, install completed LOF reminder stickers, and check battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid levels.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure that vehicles are clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints, and maintain an organized and safe work area.
  • Meet Quality and Productivity Standards: Maintain CSI at or above company standards, participate in required training, and record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follow Company Policies and Procedures: Comply with company policies and procedures, observe all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations, and demonstrate the company's core values.
Requirements
  • Education: GED or High School Diploma
  • Experience: Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems, demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge, technical training or commensurate technical experience
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license, automobile salesperson license
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions, ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
Work Environment

The position requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts that may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The duties are performed primarily in the service area, with frequent interactions with service advisors and the service manager.
