Express Lube Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Express Lube Technician to join our team at Starling Buick GMC of Stuart. As an Express Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles, adhering to express lube guidelines, and ensuring that vehicles are clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lube, oil, and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends, and ball joints.
• Report all necessary repairs to service advisors.
• Install completed LOF reminder stickers in vehicles.
• Check battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid levels and refill as needed.
• Check coolant levels and refill as necessary.
• Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Participate in required training.
• Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping systems.
• Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate the Company's Core Values.
• Comply with Company policies and procedures.
• Observe all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive service or repair.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping systems.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Duties are performed primarily in the service area.
• Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment.
