Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our team at Soliant. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will work closely with teachers to facilitate instruction, provide individualized assistance to students, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional activities, ensuring a smooth and productive learning experience for students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special needs, to help them understand and engage with course material.
  • Help students with assignments and ensure they have a clear understanding of the material, promoting academic success and confidence.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behavior, providing valuable insights for teachers and administrators.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans and educational materials, enhancing the overall educational experience.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students, fostering a love of learning and a sense of community.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing materials and organizing classroom resources, ensuring a well-organized and efficient learning environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, helping them to develop essential life skills and a growth mindset.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology, with the ability to adapt to new tools and systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to the success of the school community.
