Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at American Family Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
  • Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
  • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
  • Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
  • Sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent patient care
