The Production Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supervising the various operational sectors and ensuring that departmental and organizational objectives are met in terms of quality, efficiency, output, cost management, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and mentorship of Supervisors and team members, adhering to Company Policies to fulfill both current and future organizational needs.
- Provide prompt and constructive feedback to the Plant/Shift Manager regarding any discrepancies related to productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost, and safety, while also managing corrective actions for areas that fall outside acceptable limits.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, legal requirements, and regulations, including USDA, SSOP, HACCP programs, and all OSHA mandated safety protocols.
- Maintain a strong focus on the safety of team members by supervising the implementation of safety orientations, training sessions, and meetings aimed at achieving zero incidents.
- Engage in departmental meetings to contribute to planning processes, as well as the testing and development of new techniques and processes.
- Ensure the proper upkeep of Company assets and recommend necessary acquisitions to support business objectives.
This position is vital for fostering a productive and safe working environment, aligning with the overall mission of the organization.
